This kosher Village restaurant has been a haven of quintessentially Jewish culture for several years - both for the food it serves and the atmosphere it displays. From pastrami sandwiches to matzo ball soup, 2nd Avenue focuses on taste and does not give a babka (traditional cake) for health conscious fashions. The decor is not very chic, but for this kind of food you will find no better place to go in New York City.
