If you like to see rock groups performing in dark spaces, visit this basement spot beneath the Acme Bar & Grill in Greenwich Village. The bands are mostly unknown, and there are as many as five different performances every night. The sounds are good, the young crowd is appreciative and the beer is only $4 a bottle. The sound quality is surprisingly good, thanks to a new sound system and well-planned acoustical tiling. Cash only.
