Located in the Equitable Tower of the Equitable Life Assurance Society headquarters in Manhattan, this site (formerly known as the Equitable Gallery) features local, national and international shows of all types of contemporary art. There are no permanent exhibits, but the Gallery provides an ever-changing display of magnificent art. Some recent art displayed were oil paintings, watercolors and sculptures from Haiti, Africa and Australia. Admission is free. Afterwards, you can head up to nearby Central Park, or visit the fancy stores along Fifth Avenue.
