The Brooklyn Arts Exchange truly strives to promote all kinds of art. Founded in 1991, this non-profit organization promotes fresh talent in the fields of theater, dance as well as music. Peggy Shaw, Dean Moss and Charles Dennis are a few of the many artists who have performed at its 75-seat theater. Recognized both locally and nationally, the centre also organizes several exhibitions as well as workshops for both children and adults. Educational programs specially catered for children include multi-cultural dance performances, puppetry, mime, theater, and story telling. Check out the walls of this theater, which are filled with work by upcoming artists.
