Anyone desiring to meet a starving artist might want to check out Williamsburg's Black Betty. It is a very local but very fun hangout for the loft dwellers of the neighborhood. The Mediterranean restaurant and bar has a loungy feel, complete with comfortable couches and fancy drink choices including some weird martinis. There are also a few interesting bar snacks like foccaccia. The small dining room features such dishes as lamb and chicken couscous.
