After Philippe Feret of Cafe Centro fame opened up Acacia, he didn't even slow down. Instead, he promptly started up this attractive twin bistro farther up on the East Side. Then he hired solo performers and jazz bands to entertain his patrons each evening. As with Acacia, Brasserie Julien maintains a children's menu and has "fun" things to eat like (low fat) ostrich and buffalo burgers. More complicated dishes are also available from a talented and creative kitchen staff.
