This is a great place to unwind following an evening at Lincoln Center, or to take a coffee break after visiting nearby stores. Although the cafe is simply decorated and unpretentious, the gilt touches and baby grand piano evoke images of old Vienna. The menu includes salads, soups and sandwiches, but the real reason to come here is the luscious desserts. Specialties include the apple torte, Death by Chocolate, and raspberry tiramisu cake. There is live jazz or classical music most evenings after 9pm, as well as a Sunday afternoon jazz brunch.
