Colors, a restaurant opened by ex-employees of Windows of the World (a restaurant that existed atop the World Trade Center), is a truly global experience. This restaurant is a cooperative and pays homage to the unfortunate victims of the World Trade Center tragedy. This elegant and subdued restaurant proudly displays a shimmering world map entirely made up of mirrors, glass and paint! The American menu with that international flavor has set the New Yorkers' taste buds alight. Each employee, many of them who are immigrants has supplied one favorite recipe! Colors is a symbol of hope and unity, and what they represent in their diversity translates into the cuisine too. Try the exotic Asian influenced Salad with Chicken and Green Papaya or the Peruvian Lentil and Rice Cake. If you want to stick to something more conventional, go in for a Rib-eye Steak or the Slow-roasted Pork.
