It's all in the name because no one can be half as good as Shakespeare. Centuries after the Shakespeare's death, he continues to be the most popular. This open-air venue is home to the Public Theater which carries on the New York Shakespeare Festival. Classical plays such as “Agamemnon," "The Skin of Our Teeth," – and musicals including "The Pirates of Penzance" and "On the Town”, have also been performed. Tickets are distributed at 1p on the day of the show, so be there to get your seats.
