The Edison has been recently revamped, but the owners have preserved its art deco lobby. This is a great place to stay if you are a theater lover, as it is so accessible to surrounding venues. Broadway gypsies (chorus line and bit-part performers) have been known to congregate in the Edison Cafe downstairs. The hotel is fairly inexpensive, but features such upscale amenities as a multilingual staff, dry cleaning, laundry services and a travel department.
