As with many sushi restaurants in Manhattan, reservations are not accepted at this popular East Village spot. So take a place in the line outside; as long as it is not around the corner, your wait will not be much longer than 20 minutes. Iso's logo and T-shirts were designed by the late pop artist Keith Haring, who was a regular here. A small place with enormous fresh flowers and branches, the atmosphere is fresh and contemporary. Dishes include the usual sushi, sashimi, traditional Japanese entrees and some sushi rolls.
