This upscale and relaxing jazz club has found success thanks to a good location and mainstream but high quality entertainment. Unfortunately, its sibling restaurant 27 Standard upstairs did not fare as well, and it has closed down to make way for another venture. The typical cover charge at Jazz Standard is between $15 and $20, which is not outrageous for Manhattan. The sound system is excellent, and there is seating for a total of 130 people.
