Jojo, which is also Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's pet name, continues to be the endeavor closest to his heart. The first on his list of restaurants in New York, this bistro, which was recently revamped from being the old townhouse beauty to a brand new French bordello duplex, still attracts the same old distinguished crowd of theatre goers and art connoisseurs. The cuisine includes simple French fare with a dash of contemporary styles, so dishes like Cumin-Scented Carrot Confit, Beet Green-Filled Ravioli or even Roast Chicken and Broiled Fish seem to be new and exciting. The Valrhona Cake should be your premier choice for a dessert, as it's the house specialty. For an experience of quality food, service and ambience, you wouldn't mind paying a little more now, would you?
