It may look like a delicatessen on the outside, but this spot is really a great old fashioned pastry shop and cafe. Unlike many of its fancy new competitors, Jon Vie offers a fairly inexpensive way to enjoy dessert and coffee. A Village institution, it features a large selection of tarts, cookies and other treats, as well as a full-service espresso bar. Cakes are available for special occasions, and the incredibly moist strawberry shortcake is a great way to go.
