A modern theater on the Upper East Side, Towers East is part of the vast Loews Theatre chain. It exclusively plays first-run Hollywood films on fairly large movie screens. The theatre is rarely crowded and offers an alternative to jam-packed multiplexes elsewhere in the city; however, it is popular with local residents, and shows have been known to sell out on weekends.
