This tiny dive bar is a holdover from when the East Village was all grit and no glitz. The ambience created by a distinctive glass-block exterior and nearby graffiti carries into the dark inside, which features local underground art. Bohemian types flock here for cheap drinks and like-minded company. Leave any attitude you may have at the door, or you may be made to feel unwelcome.
