This theatre was set-up to revive the plays written by American writers during the Civil War and the First World War. It has dedicated its efforts to bring to light the works conceived in that disturbed era; the genre ranges from comedies, dramas, satires, to social commentaries. Some of the famous works are Salem, the Faith Healer, Romeo & Juliet, Love's Postman, and the Devil's Disciple by George Bernard Shaw.
