When visiting Asian dignitaries are shown New York, they are often taken here. This is real Chinese food, not the Americanized Cantonese fare most restaurants serve in the city. The service is outstanding and the decor elegant art deco, with cozy booths and soaring columns. Try the authentic Peking Duck, Chicken Roast with Macadamia nuts, and Firecracker Sea Bass, spiced to perfection in the popular Szechuan fashion. The health menu is a concession to modern times. There is white glove service but jacket and tie are optional.
