It can be a little difficult to find 'The Box', as locals refer to this Alphabet City bar. However, it is worth the search if you are in the mood to relive your college drinking days. Once past the bouncer, the vibe here is mostly low key and friendly, and it is a great spot for a larger group of friends. The comfortable couches allow for ample seating with a homey living room feeling, and a pool table sits in the rear. Expect a tightly packed crowd on the weekends. Payment is in cash only.
