Established in 1986 to showcase innovative jazz, Nell's now hosts a great variety of music. It attracts a diverse crowd that includes everyone from black professionals to club kids. The decor resembles an old-time gentlemen's club, with an emphasis on the color red. Dancing takes place here, to either cool DJs or hot live performances. However, on some nights you will be lucky to find a place to stand without being crushed.
