The Mets are New York's National League baseball team, founded in 1962 and based at Flushing's Shea Stadium in Queens. The team won the World Series in 1969. With the recent addition of catcher Mike Piazza, they were able to win the National League pennant last year. However, they have always been overshadowed by their crosstown rivals the New York Yankees. The Mets play 162 games per year, 81 of them at Shea. Tickets range from USD12 to USD43 a seat. Times vary by game.
