Every weekend, the line shoots out the door and around the corner, and the wait is at least an hour for customers. The room is packed with people and the space is limited. This is how popular and high-in-demand Ocean Port Seafood Restaurant is in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Dim-sum owner and chef, Joe Ng, cooks and serves 100 different Hong Kong style dumplings and small plates for customers to pick and choose from. Try the restaurant's famous tender and crisp suckling pig, a translucent-skinned steamed dumpling, Chiu Chow, or the clam shells filled with scallops and cooked in a mayonaise lemon sauce. If you have room for dessert, eat the pale-green dim-sum dumplings filled with diced mangos. Most dim-sum plates are between $1.95 and $2.95 of three or four pieces of dumplings, lunch specials are $4.50. Be prepared to pay with cash, Ocean Port does not accept credit cards. For a cheap and delicious cuisine, come early to beat the crowds at Ocean Port Seafood Restaurant, because everyone wants sum-thing.
