Otabe provides two separate dining experiences. The front room offers patrons a serene atmosphere, and dinner is served in an elaborate tradition of kaiseki-small and numerous courses. The room is airy, the ceiling is white cyprus and flowers are everywhere. Kaiseki is the dinner equivalent of the Japanese tea ceremony, and it is not to be rushed. The darker back room is more for fans of grilled steaks and is usually full of businessmen during the day.
