This West Village restaurant is a basement-level recreation of a Tuscan farmhouse, offering simple and hearty cuisine. Piadina are a specialty of Italy's Emilia Romagna region. The thin flatbread is cooked on an earthenware plate and served with prosciutto, cheese and arugula, making a sandwich of sorts. Entrees include Italian favorites like Chicken Cacciatore, linguine in oil and garlic, cheese ravioli, or the recommended seared ahi tuna. The wine list is regional and inexpensive. The rural farmhouse look comes complete with wood tables, stucco walls and timber beams. Cash only.
