One of the few live jazz venues on the Upper West side, Prohibition tends to attract a twenty - to thirty-something crowd of suburbanites and couples. It is a large, sophisticated space (for the neighborhood) that contains multiple bars, lounging areas and a pool table. The bars are well stocked, and it is a premium cocktail kind of place. Alltogether, Prohibition is a very classy alternative to the multiple college bars located nearby.
