This beloved New York University area movie theatre boasts four screens and very little ambiance, but the lack of decor does not matter to the students and locals who come here. Independent films, art films, foreign films and even low-budget horror films are regularly featured, sometimes after being rejected by other so-called "art houses". The Quad, as it is known by many, also serves as a venue for several film festivals.
