A small, cozy place, Savann is usually filled with a casual neighborhood crowd. Considered by some to be one of the better small, affordable restaurants in Manhattan, this brick-walled, dimly lit spot features above average French-American fare. Diners enjoy such dishes as Cornmeal Crusted Oysters and Pan Roasted Salmon. If you have a sweet tooth, sample the Apple Tarte Tartin. Dinner averages $25 to $35 per person. Service is accommodating and reservations are a good idea on weekends.
