The Lower East Side is definitely not the low-key, unwelcoming neighborhood it used to be. This French-South American supper club brings the glamour of uptown to a newly chic downtown. It is a sultry nightclub with smoke circling the air, a jazz singer crooning and cocktails all around. If you arrive with an appetite, there are such items on the menu as raw oysters, and shrimp with chipolte mashed potatoes.
