Located above the Bouley Cafe and Bakery, Upstairs is another brainchild of grandiose chef David Bouley. Known more for the sushi, the restaurant also serves up fare like Asparagus with Crab and Roast Chicken. During the afternoons, it functions mainly as a cooking school, but at night things start to heat up! Not a common sight in other restaurants, Bouley comes by pretty often and prepares his masterpieces in front of diners! His 'performances' almost makes you forget the lack of space and undersized tables. You'll be lucky to run into him at the restaurant, because it is rumored that the service seems to fall apart in his absence!
