This theater was founded by Walt Whitman, one of America's most influential and innovative poets. Opened in 1955, it seats 2400 people. Some of the world's greatest artists and groups, such as Zubin Mehta, The Paul Taylor Dance Company, Luciano Pavarotti, and The Beach Boys have performed here. The tickets prices are very reasonable and therefore, most of the shows are sold out much in advance.
